WAX’s Garden Party is coming to the Killacourt during Boardmasters Week for the first time. Expect music, great food, cold drinks and unbeatable views over Towan. Best of all, it’s completely free to attend.

There is no parking on site. However, several town centre car parks are within a short walk:

Yes – the Killacourt is easy to reach by public transport.

  • Bus: 11 routes serve Newquay, with connections across Cornwall. The Killacourt is a 6-minute walk from Newquay Bus Station. Plan your journey here.
  • Park & Ride: Newquay’s Park & Ride service is running from Saturday 18th July to Monday 31st August. The Park and Ride site is located at TR8 4NY, opposite Hendra Holiday Park. Find out more here.
  • Train: Newquay Station has hourly branch line services connecting to the mainline at Par. It’s a 10-minute walk to the Killacourt. Plan your journey here.

Yes – there are public toilets on the Killacourt (Trebarwith Crescent, TR7 1DN, ///lands.chained.passively).

Opening times:

  • October–March: 10am–4pm
  • April–September: 9am–6pm

Facilities include:

  • Ladies (5 cubicles, baby change)
  • Gents (4 urinals, 2 cubicles)
  • 1 accessible toilet

50p charge applies.

For the Garden Party, there will be extra toilet facilities on site, that are free to use.

There is also a Changing Places facility on the Killacourt site, open during the same hours. This is free to use for registered users. You can find out more about the facility here.

Yes – the Killacourt has step-free access from The Crescent, Island Crescent and Trebarwith Crescent.

A resin pathway runs through the centre of the site, suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own camping chairs or mobility aids for added comfort.

Yes – there will be a medic on site throughout the event.


There is limited shade on the Killacourt, so we recommend bringing suncream, a hat and plenty of water in hot weather. A free water refill station is available on site.

In poor weather, including high winds, events may be cancelled. Please check with the event organiser before travelling.
