StoryFest: Wyl Menmuir
Embark on a creative writing adventure with Wyl Menmuir as part of Clemo Books’ free author-led summer line up of literary activities.
Meet outside Clemo Books on Thursday 30th July at 10:30am and walk with Wyl whilst learning about creative writing on the Cornish coast. The workshop will last roughly 1 hour and will cover terrains like sand and steps.
The session is aimed at those aged 13 – 16 and it is FREE to attend.
Wyl Menmuir is a multi award-winning author of novels, non fiction and short stories. He’s even been nominated for the Booker Prize! He lectures in creative writing at Falmouth University and when he is not writing or teaching writing he enjoys messing around in boats.
Young adults taking part in the creative writing workshop will receive a free copy of Wyl Menmuir’s Holyer An Go award winning book The Draw of The Sea. Claim your free ticket here or use the sign up sheet next time you’re at Newquay Library.
StoryFest Newquay is hosted by Clemo Books in partnership with Newquay Library and Newquay Town Council and funded by the Penguin Children’s Bookshop Grant to celebrate the National Year of Reading 2026.
