Designed to capture the spirit of the town, Newquay’s postcard highlights its distinctive coastal identity, from its world famous surf and coastline to its festivals, markets, food scene and growing creative community. It offers a snapshot of the culture that exists year round and the energy shaping Newquay today.

The submission forms part of the wider bid led by Newquay Town Council and Newquay BID, working with local partners to celebrate the town’s cultural offer and community activity. The process is still at an early stage, with further opportunities for wider involvement expected if Newquay progresses in the competition.

The national campaign will be celebrated online on Thursday 2nd July, with towns across the UK sharing their postcards and taking part using the hashtag #UKTownofCulture.

People are encouraged to view and share Newquay’s postcard to help showcase the town on a national platform and celebrate everything that makes it unique.
