Grants are available to community or not-for-profit groups that are working for the benefit of the people of Newquay and do not have access to funds from umbrella or parent organisations.
It is important and we recommend you take sufficient time to read through the grant policy documents and ‘frequently asked questions’ before submitting an application. Projects with strong alignment to Newquay Town Council Corporate Plan 2024-28 will be prioritised.
For the 2026-27 Financial Year, Newquay Town Council is implementing the following grant opportunities.
£5,000 budget which can support small scale community activity. Each Newquay Town Councillor has £250 available to support projects or activities that benefit Newquay. If you have an idea, speak with your local councillor to gain their support before completing the application form.
£7,500 budget which can support projects from £250 to £4,000. The Council’s preference is to support projects that range in value up to £1,000 but it can support larger projects by exception and if projects can demonstrate significant benefit and impact to Newquay.
To be confirmed: this is a future opportunity with a launch date from 1 April 2027 – there is currently no budget ringfenced for delivery partner grants. A budget to support this activity will be considered as part of the Council’s 2027/28 budget setting process which starts from end September/October 2026.

If the requested documentation is not provided and application forms are not completed in full, this will result in a gateway fail at the assessment/appraisal stage. Projects will then be ineligible to reapply for a set period of time. It is therefore imperative that applicants take sufficient time to complete any forms and upload supporting documentation to avoid disappointment.
