Newquay Town Council Confirms Seasonal Toilet Reopenings and Updated Summer Opening Hours
Newquay Town Council’s Environment and Facilities Committee at its meeting held on 19 February 2026 has agreed that one accessible toilet cubicle at both Chester Road and Pentire Headland will reopen for the summer season, from 1 April to 30 September.

The Committee has also confirmed updated summer opening hours for Town Council operated public toilets. From 1 April, facilities will open from 9am to 6pm. The revised hours reflect operational pressures and the effect of repeated vandalism, which impacts maintenance, safety and the ability to keep sites open for longer periods.
The Committee will now begin a long-term review of all Town Council managed public toilets in Newquay. This review will consider future provision, funding and maintenance requirements, community toilet schemes and other potential options for improving facilities. The Committee will also engage with key stakeholders to ensure local insight is reflected in the development of any future plans.
